GreenEdge is the brand new professional Australian cycling team. GreenEdge have been granted a UCI license, which means they will be competing at the highest level around the world. This will include major races such as the Tour De France, the Tour of Italy and the Tour of Spain. Already Simon Gerrans has won the national road race championship of Australia in the new GreenEdge colours.
Jeff Banks has designed the formal clothing for the team after a discussion with Gerry Ryan the team owner and Shane Bannan the team director. Jeff’s bespoke team flew out to the team headquarters in Varese in Italy for two days to measure the thirty strong squad at their first team meeting. Jeff proposed a deep navy Australian Marino wool and mohair fabric that the riders could choose their own personal design of suit. Reflecting the green theme Jeff created a green check for shirts which he trimmed with white collars. Each shirt was individually made to measure and embroidered with the riders initials. The exclusive team tie was designed by Jeff and woven in Italy. As were the bench made shoes that the riders selected.

“Thanks for keeping us looking sharp!” Was the note from Robbie McEwen
